Community Scores

Community scores operate on a 1–5 scale, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. All results are based on statistics from MLS®, the City of Edmonton Open Data Catalogue, and other sources.

  • A high Homes score means you’ll find a lot of available real estate listings in that neighbourhood.
  • A high Family score means you’ll be close to schools and playgrounds, and everything is within walking and transit distance.
  • A high Safety score means bylaw violations and traffic accident rates are low, and you’ll be close to emergency services.
  • A high Recreation score means you’ll be close to sports and recreation areas.
  • A high Lifestyle score means you’ll be close to shopping and entertainment.

About Rural West

Riverview, also known as Rural West, is a residential development area in southwest Edmonton. The area is bounded by the Wedgewood Ravine to the north, 33 Avenue SW to the south, Anthony Henday Drive and the North Saskatchewan River to the east, and 215 Street (Winterburn Road) to the west. Riverview currently consists of country residential, agricultural, utility, and oil and gas uses. In the future, it is planned to contain five communities: Grandisle, River’s Edge, Stillwater, The Uplands, and White Birch. It will be developed according to the Riverview Area Structure Plan (ASP) approved in 2013. The area is planned to include residential and commercial uses, as well as two high schools and a district activity park. Amenities include the nearby Currents at Windermere shopping centre and Windermere Golf & Country Club. There is currently no transit service in Riverview, although a transit centre is included in the ASP. Residents can also access the rest of the city via Anthony Henday Drive.
